Ingredients 4 continental parsley stalks Handful of fresh dill (you can make a bouquet garni out of the dill & parsley by tying them together with a piece of unwaxed kitchen string – optional) 3L (approx 12 cups) cold water 1.3kg whole chicken 2 dried bay leaves 6 celery sticks, coarsely chopped 6 large carrots, unpeeled and coarsely chopped 1 brown onion, peeled and quartered 1 leek, trimmed and roughly sliced Approx 10-15 whole black peppercorns 1/2 teaspoon of salt Method Step 1 -Please the chicken in a large pot or stockpot. Green Minestrone

By day you can find me at the SCMWLC front desk helping patients and answering phones, but in between that I need to ensure that the facebook page is up to date. So, I usually spend my evenings looking to the world wide web for a bit of inspo and in search of bariatric recipes. Like most Sunshine Coast locals I too have dug my ugg boots and trackies out of the back of the cupboard in the past two days, so this recipe is perfectly timed for when the temperature actually goes below 25 degrees. Protein Icy Poles

           Protein Icy Poles Looking for a quick and delicious recipe that will keep you cool too? Here it is, and they are berry good. Ingredients: 2 cups of blueberries or raspberries (or mix) 2 cups of good quality, high protein natural or greek yogurt (we love Chobani for it’s higher protein content) 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, fresh squeezed works best 2 scoops of Bodiez unflavoured protein powder or a Vanilla protein powder Stevia to taste if needed  Method: Place berries in a food processor until smooth. Stir in yoghurt, lemon juice and protein powder. Fill ice cream molds and place in freezer for approx. 30 minutes. Add your wooden sticks and freeze overnight. Enjoy!
