COVID-19 UPDATES

Amid the developing COVID-19 pandemic we have made the decision to stay open to ensure our patients and GP’s alike are supported through these tough times.

We are still seeing patients for their initial and follow-up appointments, however rather than coming into the rooms all appointments will be via Telehealth. If you must come into the rooms we are enforcing strict hygiene and social distancing rules.

In order to minimise the amount of people in our waiting rooms ( 4 or 5 people max) please only present to the rooms at your appointment time, not before. You are welcome to bring one significant other to your appointment but please leave your children at home.

Unfortunately, at the present time all surgeries have been postponed. If you are currently booked in for a procedure, we will be in contact with you to discuss what to do next.

If you have any concerns or questions please feel free to contact our rooms on 5444 8594. We will do our best to keep you well informed and up to date as things progress.

Thank you again for your understanding.

Stay safe

We understand that the current world events may leave you feeling rather anxious regarding your up-coming procedures and the spread of COVID-19. As your success is our number one priority we are taking all of the necessary precautions in order to keep you safe and healthy while still being able to see you in our rooms.

Phone, Skype and Telehealth appointments are available with Dr Baxter, our dietitians and our psychologists for those who may be affected by the virus or in isolation.

We are strictly obeying the social distancing rule by separating our seating in the waiting rooms and enforcing mandatory hand washing for everyone who comes through the doors. To help ‘flatten the curve’ we are calling all patients prior to their appointments to ensure they are in good health.

As the health of our patients, staff and families are our number one priority we are adapting a zero tolerance approach. Anyone who presents to our rooms with symptoms will be kindly asked to leave and return when they are in good health.

If you have any concerns or questions please feel free to contact our rooms on 5444 8594. We will do our best to keep you well informed and up to date as things progress.
Thank you again for your understanding.

At the present time we are operating as normal but are on hight alert and acting as we are advised by the Government, health authorities and hospitals. ⠀

If you have any of the below symptoms, have been travelling internationally or had contact with someone diagnosed with or suspected of having COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to getting sick we ask for you please to respect those around you and postpone your appointment. ⠀

Symptoms:⠀
– fever⠀
– cough⠀
– sore throat⠀
– shortness of breath ⠀

Telehealth and phone appointments are also available to those who are unable to come into the rooms but still wish to continue their appointments as planned. ⠀

Though things are operating as normal at the moment, the situation is changing hourly, and is likely to persist for months. ⠀

The team here at Sunshine Coast Medical Weight Loss Centre will keep you well informed as the situation plays out. For now, we will be contacting each and every one of our patients prior to their appointments to check that they are well before coming into the rooms. Please bare with us as we all work together during this time. Your health is our number one priority.⠀

Please keep safe and healthy. ⠀
