COVID-19 UPDATES

As most of you are aware restrictions are slowly being lifted and things are starting to move in the right direction for us.

The QLD Government have started allowing elective surgery for category 1 – 3 cases on a case by case basis with each hospital.

Unfortunetly, that does not mean we have been given the all clear to go ahead with all surgeries.

What does that mean?

Dr Baxter and his team are working with the Buderim Private Hospital to prioritise cases based on the medical criteria as stipulated by the QLD gov.

We are trying our best to keep everyone informed and supported during this time and apprecate how understanding all of our patients have been.

We will be calling each patient on a case by case basis to touch base and keep them informed. In the mean time, please feel free to call the rooms if you have any questions.

Thank you again for your understanding. We hope you are staying healthy and safe.

Amid the developing COVID-19 pandemic we have made the decision to stay open to ensure our patients and GP’s alike are supported through these tough times.

We are still seeing patients for their initial and follow-up appointments, however rather than coming into the rooms all appointments will be via Telehealth. If you must come into the rooms we are enforcing strict hygiene and social distancing rules.

In order to minimise the amount of people in our waiting rooms ( 4 or 5 people max) please only present to the rooms at your appointment time, not before. You are welcome to bring one significant other to your appointment but please leave your children at home.

Unfortunately, at the present time all surgeries have been postponed. If you are currently booked in for a procedure, we will be in contact with you to discuss what to do next.

If you have any concerns or questions please feel free to contact our rooms on 5444 8594. We will do our best to keep you well informed and up to date as things progress.

Thank you again for your understanding.

Stay safe

We understand that the current world events may leave you feeling rather anxious regarding your up-coming procedures and the spread of COVID-19. As your success is our number one priority we are taking all of the necessary precautions in order to keep you safe and healthy while still being able to see you in our rooms.

Phone, Skype and Telehealth appointments are available with Dr Baxter, our dietitians and our psychologists for those who may be affected by the virus or in isolation.

We are strictly obeying the social distancing rule by separating our seating in the waiting rooms and enforcing mandatory hand washing for everyone who comes through the doors. To help ‘flatten the curve’ we are calling all patients prior to their appointments to ensure they are in good health.

As the health of our patients, staff and families are our number one priority we are adapting a zero tolerance approach. Anyone who presents to our rooms with symptoms will be kindly asked to leave and return when they are in good health.

If you have any concerns or questions please feel free to contact our rooms on 5444 8594. We will do our best to keep you well informed and up to date as things progress.
Thank you again for your understanding.
